QUICK START GUIDE

AutoSketch has a built in database and DataRocket has been designed to take full advantage of this feature. Use DataRocket to quickly TakeOff primary quantities to import into your estimating spreadsheet or industry specific solution such as Databuild.

Use existing entities on your CAD drawings, draw over the top on instant layers or import a scanned image the principle is simple and easy to use. Add names and codes to your data to match your existing quantity package and you’re on your way to saving time and money.

 CONTRACT

Allows the user to save client and builder data to the document and recall using text formulas within title blocks.

 INSERT LAYERS

Inserts all layers form the DRAW VALUES database to a new file.

 SAVE AS NEW

Save As, to the directory of the selected drawing and not the current directory.

 DRAW VALUE

Set the properties for a chosen Draw Value. Layer will be created.

 HOUSE OUTLINE

Offset multiple lines from a polygon. Draw Values can be used.

 ROOM

Offset double Wall lines to indicate a Room.

 TAKE OFF QUANTITIES

Find entities and add database information, this can be automated down to a single click.

 SYMBOL QUANTITIES

Find and add quantities to symbols which can also include areas and lengths.

 MULTIPLE WALL AREAS

Turn line lengths into areas with heights.

 MANUAL QUANTITY OVERRIDE

Edit your calculations to alter lengths, areas or database information.

 FIND

Look for entities with, or without information attached prior to export

 TOTALS

Calculate totals and insert these onto your documents. These are created as text files so they can be easily copied and manipulated.

 EXPORT

Take off your database information into CSV or XML formats for export to other applications.

 QUANTITY TEXT

Add your lengths, areas and materials onto your document entities.

 DRAW VALUE SETTINGS

Create and Set the Draw Values with additional database variables. Builds Database files.

 EDIT DATABASE

Edit Database Files, TXT, INI & DAT.

We have not crowded your screen with countless buttons, rather these are an extension of the draw techniques established with PowerTools.

A drafter using PowerTools can send their drawings to an estimator without knowing that they have assisted the quantity process.

The estimators database will be an extension to that used by the drafter, thus enhancing an existing system, saving valuable time and effort.
